Happy Wednesday and welcome to the month of April! I thank you all for continuing to complete your work on the blog each day. Today you will answer some review questions and continue to learn about minerals. Take your time and spend another 30 minutes to work at your own pace with the class work today. Have a great day today as you continue to learn about earth science. Follow the directions below. DIRECTIONS: Complete the Do Now Review Questions below. DIRECTIONS: Watch the two videos on glowing rocks, read the passages, and answer the questions. Reading Passage 1: Due to mineral content some rocks “glow” under a black light. Ideally, you need a set of fluorescent rocks and a black light. The first seconds of the video show the difference in the rocks under black light and regular lighting. Reading Passage 2: After watching this second video you notice the rocks were a different when they were in the dark and when the lights were turned on. The rocks glow in the dark.
